Iheanacho helps Leicester City to a hard-earned win over Onyeka’s Brentford

The former Manchester City came out on top in a Premier League encounter that saw two Nigerian stars go head-to-head

Super Eagles stars Kelechi Iheanacho and Frank Onyeka came up against each other, but it was the former that ended up on the winning side as Leicester City beat Brentford 2-1 in their Premier League encounter at the Brentford Community stadium.

Iheanacho was on from start to finish while Onyeka played for 76 minutes. Both players were impressive for their clubs, with Iheanacho giving out two key passes and Onyeka making one.

Leicester took the lead in the 14th minute through a brilliant strike from Youri Tielemans. It is the second consecutive goal in the Premier League for the Belgian international, having scored against Man Utd last week.

Brentford did get back in the game when Zanka headed past Kasper Schmeichel in the 60th minute. However, James Maddison’s strike 17 minutes from time sealed the three points for the Foxes.
