The 25-year-old missed the trip to Old Trafford two weeks ago and Nigeria’s doubleheader against the Central African Republic due to an injury
Everton manager Rafael Benitez has confirmed that Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi has returned to full training after recovering from an injury that has kept him out for the last two weeks.
Iwobi missed Everton’s 1-1 draw at Old Trafford two weeks ago due to an unspecified injury. The injury also ruled him out of Nigeria’s doubleheader World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic.
The Nigerian international has now recovered from the injury ahead of the Toffees Premier League encounter against West Ham.
Speaking on Everton’s website, Benitez confirmed Iwobi has returned to training, but it’s too soon to speak on his availability for the clash against the Hammers.
“Alex Iwobi was training and [so were] Digne and Coleman – that is good news for us – they have started training with the team,” Benitez said.
Iwobi has made six league appearances for Everton this season, registering one assist. He also made two appearances in the Carabao Cup, although Everton are out of the competition after losing to QPR on penalties.
