The summer transfer window is shut, but clubs can still bring in players that are not registered to any team in their continent
The brother of forgotten Super Eagles striker Junior Lokosa, Anthony Lokosa, has signed for Almeria’s reserve team.
Lokosa joins the Spanish side’s B team on a loan deal from Pharco FC with an option to buy. His contract with Pharco does not expire until 2022, although he was on loan at Haras Hodoud between August 2019 to October last year.
The 24 -year-old is the brother of Nigerian international Junior Lokosa, who has been without a club since he was released by Tanzanian club Simba SC in March.
Junior joined Simba SC as a free agent after leaving Esperance FC but only stayed at the club for just two months.
Meanwhile, Anthony is the second Nigerian to join Almeria after Sadiq Umar, who is the first team’s leading marksman in the Spanish second division.
