Pinnick provides an update on Super Eagles and Rohr’s salaries

The players haven’t received their match bonuses for months, while the coaches are owed a backlog of salaries, but it has now been settled, according to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president

NFF president Amaju Pinnick has revealed that the federation has paid the Super Eagles players their match bonuses, while the coaching department led by Gernot Rohr will receive all outstanding wages soon.

Pinnick revealed this at the official announcement of the partnership between the NFF and Baba Ijebu, who are now the official gaming partner for all national teams.

The Super Eagles haven’t received their match bonuses since the beginning of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, while the coaches haven’t been paid for months.

Although that hasn’t stopped the players from fulfilling their duties, Rangers star Leon Balogun recently complained about the Federation’s treatment of the players and coaches.

Meanwhile, the NFF has also signed deals with MTN as the official communication partner of the national teams, while Airpeace is now the airline carrier for the national teams.

  • Nigeria won’t to be the big boss of African football, yet they can’t pay their players . Rohr repeatedly is tarnished in the press, but he and his back room staff have not received salaries for months . Is this the way to run football for the giant of Africa. How many coaches can endure this . If not for the love of the game, these people give their all . They need to be commended .
NFF should resign en block - totally incompetent

    • Very shocked to hear that Rohr is beign owed for months and he's been castigated by many for incompetence and bla bla.
That man is a God sent and if those clamouring for his dismissal finally have their way, Nigeria will surely pay dearly for it.

      • Thanks so much for this very humble submission. It's really a bruise and a shame knowing how urgly it looks when some Nigerians can not appreciate good things when they see or have it. Until Rhor leaves before they will know that they had a gem in their possession but they didn't appreciate it....thanks Rhor, please turn a blind eye to all the nonsense from Nigeria and NigeriansThank you so much for this
