The Black and Yellows made it two wins out of two in this season’s Champions League, and they did it in front of one of their former heroes
Former Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh has expressed his delight at being back in Dortmund again. Oliseh watched the Champions League encounter between Borussia Dortmund and Sporting Lisbon at the Signal Iduna Park.
The German side prevailed 1-0, courtesy of a first-half strike from Holland international Donny Malen. Following the match, Oliseh could not hide his excitement at being back in a football stadium again, especially at the home of one of his former clubs.
“Finally, feels great to be back to one of my adopted homes, BVB Dortmund for a Champions League game versus Sporting Lisbon.. Corona bad sha …,” Oliseh said on his Twitter account.
Oliseh spent five years at Dortmund, although he also had a season-long loan spell at the VFL Bochum during that period.
The former Super Eagles captain had quite a successful career during his time with The Black and Yellow. He won the Bundesliga title in the 20001/2002 season, while he also helped them reach the UEFA Cup final the same season.
Oliseh made 72 appearances for the club, scoring three goals and registering two assists.
