FIFA 22: Only one Nigerian is in the top 100

The yearly ratings of the popular video game franchise by EA Sports, FIFA, have been released, and only one Super Eagles star is good enough to make the top 100

Wilfred Ndidi is the only Nigerian rated high enough to feature in the top 100 of the video game FIFA 22, scheduled for an October 1st release.

FIFA 22 is the latest instalment in the yearly series developed and published by American video game company Electronic Arts.

And ahead of its release next month, the top 100 rated players have been revealed, with Ndidi ranked in 82nd place.

He’s the only Nigerian in the top 100, with no other Super Eagles star even good enough to feature in the top 400 players.

The next highest-rated Super Eagles star is Napoli striker Victor Osimhen. The 22-year-old has a rating of 80, but it’s only good enough for the 456th spot in the overall rankings.

Meanwhile, Kelechi Iheanacho is ranked at 765 with a rating of 78. Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze is rated at 993 with a rating of 77.

Nigeria’s top scorer in Europe last season, Paul Onuachu, has a rating of 79, and he’s the 599TH best player in the game.
