The Super Eagles midfielder’s strike in the opening half was enough to hand Steven Gerrard’s men the three points at Tannadice Park
Joe Aribo scored the only goal of the game as Rangers returned to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership with a win over Dundee FC.
Rangers went into the clash following a disappointing 1-1 draw against Motherwell last week, although they did beat Livingston in the League Cup during the week.
It didn’t take them to get going, however, as Aribo got on the end of an Alfredo Morelos past to calmly slot past Adam Legzdins in Dundee’s goal.
It was the 24-year-old’s second strike in seven league games this season. His international compatriot Leon Balogun also played in the game, helping his side keep a clean sheet with three clearances, two interceptions and one tackle.
However, despite Aribo’s goal and Balogun’s performance, Rangers had their goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin to thank after he denied Jason Cummings from the spot.
The win lifts Rangers to the top of the table with 16 points from seven games.
