The two Super Eagles stars were in action and helped their respective teams to win their pre-season games on Saturday afternoon
Nigeria’s forward Terem Moffi was on target as Lorient wrapped up their pre-season preparations ahead of the new Ligue 1 season, which starts next weekend.
The Calabar born striker has been prolific in front of goal since he joined Lorient. Saturday wasn’t an exception for the lethal finisher as he was on hand to bury a well-weighted pass from Petkovic into the back of the net.
His 67th-minute goal was enough to give Lorient a 1-0 victory over Angers in their pre-season friendly. The game was their last preparatory game ahead of the Ligue 1 2021/22 season, which begins on the 6th of August.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s number one goalkeeper Maduka Okoye was between the sticks for his Sparta Rotterdam side as they faced fellow Dutch side, Excelsior, in a pre-season friendly game.
Okoye played in just his second game in Sparta Rotterdam’s Pre-season campaign. The Rotterdam MVP kept a clean sheet as his side kept a clean sheet and walloped the Eerste Divisie side 3-0.
Two goals from Vito Van Crooij and a goal from Emmanuel Emegha were enough to dispatch Excelsior.
Okoye’s Sparta Rotterdam begin their Eredivisie campaign away at Utrecht on the 15th of August.
