Nigeria eligible star that scored a stunner against Man Utd finally finds a new club

The Red Devils were stunned in their pre-season friendly at Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium last Saturday, and that has earned of one the stand out performers a contract

Odubajo has finally put pen to paper for QPR. The Nigeria-eligible star spent the entire month training at Loftus Road at the expiration of his contract at Sheffield Wednesday, intending to convince the QPR hierarchy to give him a contract.

The versatile player took his chance against Manchester United over the weekend when he scored a screamer from outside the box to help his side to a 4-2 win over the Red Devils. That was enough to earn himself a contract at the Hoops.

The club announced via their website this evening that the 28-year-old has signed on a one-year deal with an option of a year extension.

The move means the former Brentford man reunites with his former boss, Mark Warburton, who is the coach of QPR.

Odubajo is a former England youth international, but he is still eligible to play for the Super Eagles according to FIFA rules.

  • If he has the chance to represent Nigeria, may he continue to score screamers that win us silverware on the real front.
