Alterations made to NPFL fixtures, new closing date confirmed

With two matchdays of football left for all the teams in the NPFL, the League Management Company has shifted the fixtures of the NPFL

The final day of fixtures initially scheduled for Sunday, 8th of August, has now been shifted to Thursday, the 5th of August.

Some of the week 37 matches also witnessed alterations. The games between Rivers United vs Lobi Stars, Nasarawa United vs Rangers International, Enyimba vs Sunshine Stars and Kano Pillars vs Wikki Tourists will now be played on Monday, August 2.

The fixtures were shifted to accommodate the Aiteo Cup semi-finals fixtures. The final day matches were also moved as the NFF has to submit the names of Nigeria’s representatives at the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup competitions for next season.

The semi-final games of the Aiteo Cup will be played on Friday, with Nasarawa United taking on Sunshine Stars, while Rivers United will go to battle against Bayelsa United.

The final is expected to be played on Sunday, the 8th of August.
