The home-based players will represent Nigeria in the international friendly against Mexico, but they will be without their team captain
Super Eagles’ Team B Captain Ikechukwu Ezenwa has been dropped from the team that will travel to the USA ahead of the friendly match on July 4.
The Heartland shot-stopper reported to camp with a niggling injury and looked to shake it off, but he aggravated the injury in training.
No official reports yet on the nature of the injury or the time he would spend on the sidelines has been released by the NFF.
Enyimba shot-stopper John Noble is the favourite to replace the Heartland goalkeeper in goal. Noble is not a stranger to the setup as he was invited for the Nations Cup qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.
The team, which is currently managed by Paul Aigbogun and Austin Eguavoen, will jet out to the USA with two keepers- Stanley Nwabali and John Noble.
