Super Eagles star William-Troost-Ekong had the special honour of hanging out with a musical icon Sir Elton John after Watford’s 2-0 win over Swansea.
Sir Elton John is one of the best-selling musicians of all time, but more importantly, he’s a lifelong Watford fan and was once the club’s chairman.
The Crocodile Rock singer has attended several Watford games and has a stand named after him at the Vicarage Road.
Watford secured promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking. They rounded their campaign with a 2-0 win over Swansea and after the game, Sir Elton John paid a visit to the players.
Ekong, who joined the Hornets at the start of the season, could not hide his excitement as he took to Twitter to share a picture of himself and the musical legend.
The Nigerian international played a key role in Watford’s promotion with 32 league appearances. The former Udinese star was rock solid at the back for the Hornets, helping them concede just 30 goals- the lowest in the league.
