Super Eagles star suffers racist abuse

The Premier League social media boycott only recently ended, but more action is still needed after another player was subjected to abuse

Super Eagles star Semi Ajayi is the latest player to receive racist abuse on social media. The Nigerian international was on the receiving end of some disgusting racial messages on his Instagram.

Ajayi shared the messages he received in his inbox shortly after West Brom lost to Liverpool in their Premier League clash at the Hawthorns.

The 27-year-old called on Instagram authorities to do more in tackling racism. Ajayi is the latest of many black players who have already received abuse on social media after a game.

It led to the Premier League, players and all other football associations taking a three-day social media boycott two weeks ago.

But that has not stopped the abuse with the likes of Fred, Amartey and Sterling all subjected to racial insults on social media.
