Premier League: Iheanacho ahead of Kane, Salah on the list of players with best-minutes-per-goal ratio

The Leicester City forward is behind the Tottenham Hotspur talisman and the Egypt international in the scoring charts, but he has a better minutes-per-goal ratio

Kelechi Iheanacho is just behind Gareth Bale among players with the best minutes-per-goal in the Premier League this season.

Iheanacho has scored ten league goals this season and averages a goal every 116 minutes. Meanwhile, Bale is just a goal behind Iheanacho but scores a goal every 81 minutes.

However, Iheanacho’s minutes-per-goal ratio is still better than that of Kane and Salah, who are the top two scorers in the English top-flight this season.

Kane has scored 21 times in the league this season but scores a goal every 130 minutes, while Salah has 20 and averages a goal every 132 minutes.

Iheanacho also has a better conversion rate than the two with 33% goal conversion- the joint-second highest in the league this season.

Only Bale and Jesse Lingard have a higher conversion rate with 35%. Kane and Salah have scored 22% and 26% respectively of their shots in the league this season.

This has been the best season of Iheanacho’s career since he arrived in England. The Nigerian international has scored 17 times and registered seven assists in 34 games for Leicester this season.

Iheanacho will hope to continue his impressive form when Leicester City take on Newcastle on Friday night.
