Former Super Eagles star celebrates Chelsea’s Champions League success

The Blues stunned Pep Guardiola’s men at Estádio do Dragão on Saturday night to take home the biggest prize in club football

Former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi has congratulated Chelsea on their Champions League win. The Blues won their second Champions League trophy after beating Manchester City 1-0 courtesy of a goal from Kai Havertz.

Mikel spent 13-years at Chelsea, winning numerous titles, including the club’s first Champions League trophy in 2012.

The Stoke City star sealed his status as a Chelsea legend after he gave a man of the match display against Bayern Munich to help the Blues win their first major European trophy on that emotional night at the Allianz Arena.

Chelsea’s class of 2021 have now replicated the success of the 2012 squad, and Mikel wasted no time in sending his congratulations to the Blues new heroes.

The ex-Middlesbrough midfielder took to his Instagram page to congratulate the team shortly after beating City in an exciting final.

Mikel was not the only Nigerian celebrity to celebrate the Blues win. The Psquare brothers, who are die-hard Chelsea fans, were also seen celebrating passionately after the match.
