Trabzonspor moved up to fourth in the Turkish top-flight and six points off the top following a 2-0 win over Yeni Malatyaspor
Forgotten Super Eagles star, Anthony Nwakaeme delivered a moment of individual brilliance to help Trabzonspor to a 2-0 win at Yeni Malatyaspor.
The first-half ended goalless with either team unable to find a breakthrough. However, the away side opened the scoring five minutes after the break courtesy of a strike from Anastasios Bakasetas.
It stayed that way until Nwakaeme’s moment of individual brilliance doubled Tranzonspor’s advantage in stoppage time.
The Nigerian international showed incredible skill to beat a defender on the flank before finishing from a tight angle to hand a comfortable victory for the home side.
It was Nwakaeme’s sixth goal in 19 league games this season, while he also has four assists to his name. The win lifts Trabzonspor to fourth on the table with 42 points from 23 games, six off Galatasaray in top spot.
