The winter transfer window is just a few hours from shutting down, but Fulham are in talks to finalise a deal just before the midnight deadline
Fulham are hoping to sign forgotten Super Eagles star Josh Maja just before the January window closes at midnight.
According to the Dailymail, the Cottagers are currently in talks with Maja’s club Bordeaux and are confident in sealing a deal before the window shuts.
Maja joined Bordeaux from Sunderland in January 2019, but his time at the club has been largely underwhelming. This season, Maja has featured 17 times for Les Girondins in the Ligue 1 but has just two goals to his name.
Fulham are now hoping to lure him back to England with Scott Parker’s side looking to bolster their attacking options.
The Cottagers are currently embroiled in a battle to avoid the drop from the Premier League and need all the help they can get.
Maja will be linking up with his international teammate, Ola Aina if a deal is agreed between both parties.
Fulham also have Ademola Lookman and Tosin Adarabioyo, who are both of Nigerian descent, in their ranks.
