The Super Eagles star tested positive for the virus two weeks ago, but his status hasn’t changed, and he is likely to miss the Coppa Italia clash against Empoli
Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen has returned another Covid-19 positive test ten days after he initially tested positive for the virus.
Osimhen contracted coronavirus shortly after returning from a trip to Nigeria, where he celebrated his 22nd birthday.
Although he was asymptomatic, he still went through the ten-day isolation process, hoping he would return a negative test after the isolation period.
However, the former Lille striker returned another positive test, and he is set to miss at least one more game for Napoli.
Gli Azzurri play Empoli in a Coppa Italia game on Wednesday, but Osimhen is almost sure to miss that encounter.
But the 22-year-old could return for the Serie A clash against Fiorentina if he tests negative in another round of test to be carried out later this week.
Osimhen has not featured for Napoli since he returned with a dislocated shoulder following Nigeria’s 4-4 draw against Sierra Leone last November.
