The former Super Eagles star is not shy from sharing his views on popular topics and this time he has dropped another controversial opinion
Osaze Odemwingie is back in the news again, and this time he is going after the mainstream media over their coverage of the coronavirus.
Osaze accused the media of exaggerating the impact of Covid-19, saying the virus is not as strong as the media is reporting it.
The former Stoke City star is far from controversy, especially with some of his takes on the photo-sharing app, Instagram.
He was recently involved in a drama with Amarachi Kanu, wife of former Super Eagles teammate, Kanu Nwankwo, criticising her parenting style.
Osaze has also been posting many religious messages on his Instagram page, saying he is sharing the gospel of Christ.
And this time, the footballer turned golfer is not happy with how the media has amplified the coronavirus’s effect.
In a recent post on his Instagram page, Osaze urged his followers not to fear the virus, and the media is only using ‘fear-mongering tactics.’
He added that the reaction to the virus has been disproportionate, and the media and the government have an agenda.
Osaze has been active on social media since he retired from football in April 2019.
