Maduka Okoye kept his fourth clean sheet in ten Eredivisie games as Sparta Rotterdam secured a 1-0 away victory at Fortuna Sittard.
Okoye and Sparta started the new year with a disappointing home defeat to city rivals, Feyenoord, but they bounced back immediately on Wednesday night.
And Okoye performance was vital, making four brilliant saves to ensure the Castle Lords leave the Fortuna Sittard Stadion with the three points and a clean sheet.
It was Okoye’s tenth appearance in the Dutch top-flight, and he has four clean sheets. Sparta took the three points courtesy of a strike from Lennart Thy in the 57th minute.
