Ogu Thanks Fans As He Shares Details Of His Mother’s Passing

The Nigerian international recently lost his mom and has now come out to thank fans for their prayers and well-wishes

Super Eagles midfielder has expressed his gratitude towards fans, friends and teammates for their support following his mother’s passing.

Ogu also revealed his mom has been battling cancer for some time, but unfortunately, she lost the battle on Saturday.  The former Hapoel Beer Sheva took to his social media pages to share the details of his mom’s death.

The 32-year-old says it has been difficult for him, but thanked those who have reached out to him for their support.

It has been a difficult year for Ogu both on and off the pitch. He has been without a club since he left Al-Adalah FC last January.

Although he has always expressed his desire to continue playing, Ogu is yet to find a club one year later. The 32-year-old’s Super Eagles career is also as good as over with his last appearance coming at the 2019 Africa cup of nations.
