Days after parting ways with Ghazl El-Mahalla due to a personal problem with a teammate, Nigerian attacker Odo Moses has teamed up with the Mountain Wolves.
Al Mokawloon Al Arab Sporting Club have completed the signing of free agent Odo Moses days after another Egyptian Premier League side, Ghazl El-Mahalla, sacked the former Enugu Rangers ace.
Moses began 2021 on a good note when he joined Ghazl El-Mahalla earlier in January on a two-year deal following a mixed spell with Misr El-Makkasa.
But the adventure took a negative turn for the player a few weeks later when he, alongside compatriot Emmanuel Agbettor, ran into trouble at the club for various financial infractions.
The club suspended Moses for getting into a fight with one of his teammates over an unpaid pair of football cleats.
But El-Mahalla decided that sanctioning the player for indiscipline was not enough and proceeded to terminate Moses’ contract, which would have ran into the summer of 2022.
However, fellow Egyptian side Al Mokawloon has acted swiftly to take advantage of the situation by signing the 27-year-old on a free transfer.
Moses arrived in Egypt in July 2018 to join then-Premier League side Haras El-Hodood from Nigerian club Real Sapphire FC.
His impressive record of ten goals and three assists for the Military club helped him secure a move to Misr El-Makkasa just one year later.
Moses endured a less than fantastic time at El-Makkasa, scoring just three goals in 18 games, but he did enough to convince newly-promoted Ghazl El-Mahalla to offer him a lucrative two-year deal.
The 27-year-old made just four league appearances for Ghazl El-Mahalla.
