The Nigerian international has endured a difficult time in the last two years, but he is now enjoying football again in the Dutch top-flight
Super Eagles defender Tyronne Ebuehi has been named in Eredivisie’s team of the month of October following his impressive displays for Twente.
Ebuehi joined Twente from Benfica on a season-long loan deal following a tough two years at the Portuguese club.
The 24-year-old joined Benfica shortly after the 2018 World Cup but suffered a knee injury pre-season, which ruled him out of the whole 2018/2019 campaign.
Although he made his return last season, he only featured in 13 games for Benfica’s second team. But with Ebuehi eager to play, he joined Twente in August, and it is a move that has worked out for him.
The former Ado Den Haag star has made the seven appearances in the Eredivisie for The Tukkers Pride of the East The Reds, registering one assist.
His performances have not gone unnoticed as he has been named in the Eredivisie team of the month of October.
Ebuehi is among the five defenders included in October’s team of the month. The Super Eagles star featured for 90 minutes in all of Twente’s four games last month.
Next up for Ebuehi is a clash against former club, Ado Den Haag, before travelling to Nigeria for the Super Eagles Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone.
