Betting Tips: Games That Could Double Your Money This Weekend

Club football is back fully after two weeks of international matches played amid a global pandemic. The next five months will be a feast of football without interruption across Europe’s different leagues.

It will also paint a clearer picture of the title race, battle for top four and relegations fight. This weekend is the start of non-stop league football for 17 days, and there are some exciting matches taking place in Europe’s major leagues.

In its usual tradition, Soccernet is providing betting tips for some selected games in different leagues.

Manchester United vs West Brom (Premier League): Manchester United secured an impressive win over Everton at Goodison Park last time out to ease the pressure on their beleaguered boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

But despite the victory, United go into the weekend clash against West Brom, looking for their first home win of the season.

The Red Devils have picked up just a point at home this season, and that came against Chelsea. West Brom, meanwhile, are still searching for their first win of the season and will hope to cause an upset.

Match Facts

There have been under 2.5 goals scored in West Brom’s last five games (Premier League).

Man Utd have seen under 2.5 goals in six of their last seven home matches against West Brom in all competitions.

West Brom have failed to win their last eight matches (Premier League).

Man Utd have failed to win their last six home matches (Premier League).

Betting Tips: As stated earlier, United are yet to win at home. But anything other than a victory against a West Brom side that have just three points all season will increase the pressure on Solskjaer. (Man Utd Win)

Liverpool vs Leicester City (Premier League): It’s the battle between the league leaders and the champions at Anfield on Sunday night.

Liverpool welcome Leicester City on Sunday but the champions have many injury worries. The Reds suffered the most from the international break after a couple of their players came back injured.

Joe Gomez has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering an injury while training with England. His compatriot and club captain, Jordan Henderson also returned injured and will miss the clash on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah tested positive for Covid-19 while on Egypt duty and has also been ruled out of the game.

It has not been ideal preparation for the Reds manager, Jurgen Klopp. His compatriot, Brendan Rodgers, however, does not have such problems.

Brendan Rodgers have been boosted with the return of some key players and has almost a full squad to pick from.

Match Facts

Liverpool have won 29 of their last 30 home matches (Premier League).

Liverpool have scored at least two goals in 28 of their last 30 home matches (Premier League).

There have been over 2.5 goals scored in nine of Liverpool’s last 11 home games (Premier League).

Leicester have won their last four away matches (Premier League).

Liverpool have won five of their last six matches against Leicester in all competitions.

Liverpool have seen over 2.5 goals in five of their last six matches against Leicester in all competitions.

Betting Tips: Liverpool are still the favourites, but their injury problems at the back make them vulnerable. Leicester have already won at Etihad this season and will be confident of getting something at Anfield. It should be an open game and that should guarantee goals. ( Both teams to score or Over 2.5)

Juventus vs Cagliari(Serie A): It has been an indifferent start for Pirlo in his first season as a manager at Juventus.

The Old Lady are unbeaten in the league under the former Italian international but are also outside the top four places.

Juventus have picked up just three wins in seven league games with other games ending in draws. The champions have been impressive in some games, but the jury is still out on Pirlo’s abilities.

They have the chance to go second this weekend when they host Cagliari. Cagliari like Juventus have also had a mixed start to the season. Eusebio Di Francesco’s men sit in 11th place with ten points from seven games.

Match Facts

Juventus are undefeated in 37 of their last 38 home matches (Serie A).

Juventus have scored at least three goals in their last four home matches against Cagliari in all competitions.

Juventus have won their last four home matches against Cagliari in all competitions.

Cagliari have scored at least two goals in their last five matches (Serie A).

Betting Tips: Cagliari are capable of causing an upset and are known to be giant killers. It won’t be an easy game for Juventus, but their quality gives them the edge. (Juventus win or Over 2.5)

Villarreal vs Real Madrid (La Liga): It’s shocking that after eight games neither Real Madrid nor Barcelona are in the top three.

Madrid sit fourth after eight games while Barcelona are further behind in the eighth position after just seven games.

Both teams face tough oppositions this weekend with Madrid travelling to Estadio de la Cerámica to take on Villarreal.

The Yellow Submarines, under the tutelage of former Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, are second on the table with 18 points from nine games.

Their game against Madrid gives them the chance to show they are not just pretenders. Villarreal had already failed their first big test this season, losing 4-0 to Barcelona.

Match Facts

Villarreal have drawn their last three home matches against Real Madrid in all competitions.

Villarreal have seen over 2.5 goals in their last five matches against Real Madrid in all competitions.

Real Madrid are undefeated in 18 of their last 20 matches against Villarreal in all competitions.

There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Real Madrid‘s last three games (LaLiga).

Betting Tips: This is a hard game to call, but it should be end to end and that should guarantee goals. (Over 2.5)

Bayern Munich vs Werder Bremen (Bundesliga): Bayern Munich are dead certs to win the Bundesliga once again.

The Bavaria giants are currently two points clear of RB Leipzig after just seven games. They host Werder Bremen at the Allianz Arena this weekend.

Die Werderaner sit in tenth place with ten points from seven games. They will hope to keep the scoreline respectable when they tackle Bayern.

Match Facts

Bayern have won their last 19 matches against Werder Bremen in all competitions.

Bayern have scored at least four goals in their last three home matches (Bundesliga).

There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Bayern‘s last nine games (Bundesliga).

Betting Tips: It’s not a matter of a Bayern win, but how many goals will they score. There will be enough goals in this match. (Bayern to score in both halves or Bayern win and over2.5)
