After John Ogu confirmed his departure from Al-Adalah, Al-Nassr have also revealed that Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa has left the club.
The Saudi Arabian club confirmed the news late Sunday night, and it was a mutual decision between the two parties. Al-Nassr uploaded a video thanking Musa for his services on the club’s Twitter page.
Musa joined Al-Nassr from Leicester City in 2018 for a reported fee of 15 million euros. The Nigerian international made a total of 57 appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals and registering 14 assists.
He has already made two appearances this season in the Saudi Professional League. The reason for Musa’s departure is not known, but reports claim the Super Eagles star is looking for a return to Europe.
The former Kano Pillars star started his European sojourn at VV Venlo before joining CSKA Moscow in 2012.
Following a four year stay in Russia, Leicester City paid 15 million euros for his services. However, he struggled at the King Power Stadium and returned to CSKA on a loan deal two years later.
At the end of his loan stint in Russia, he joined Al-Nassr on a permanent deal.
