Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard has revealed Leon Balogun missed the win over Dundee after he pulled up his hamstring.
Balogun joined Rangers from Wigan and has settled in quickly, making the team of the week on his first league appearance.
But the 32-year-old has not played since the win over ST. Johnstone due to an injury. He was however included in the starting line-up on Saturday but pulled out during warm-up.
The ex-Brighton man was replaced by Filip Helander.in the line-up. Gerrard has now confirmed that Balogun was withdrawn after he pulled his hamstring and the club decided not to risk him.
“Leon felt a bit of tightness in the warm-up, so we obviously didn’t want to take a risk on that’, Gerrard told Rangers website.
Balogun’s international teammate, Joe Aribo not involved at all as he is currently ruled out for six weeks due to an ankle injury.
