Pinnick Reveals The Venue Of Super Eagles Matches Against Cote D’Ivoire And Tunisia

The Super Eagles have not played in almost a year, but that is set to end with the team set to face two African nations in next month’s international window

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Amaju Pinnick has announced that the country’s senior national team will play two friendly games against Cote D’Ivoire and Tunisia in October.

Gernot Rohr’s men haven’t played since they beat Lesotho 4-2 in an Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier last November.

Although they were supposed to play Sierra Leone in a doubleheader clash in March, it was postponed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

However, with international football back in action this weekend, the Super Eagles are set to play again next month.

In a series of tweet on Twitter, Pinnick revealed Nigeria would face Cote D’Ivoire on October 9th before taking on Tunisia four days later.

The NFF president also revealed both games would take place in Austria as since almost all of the country’s player play in Europe, while the costs will be by the football federations of the three countries.

The games will serve as preparation for the doubleheader AFCON qualifying clash against Sierra Leone scheduled for November.
