The new Nike jersey for Nigeria’s national teams was released on Sunday, and it appears a Belgium international has fallen in love with it
Belgium’s star, Dries Mertens has requested for the new Super Eagles kit after Victor Osimhen unveiled it on his Instagram page.
Several Nigerian players, both male and female, modelled the new kit, which all Nigerian teams will wear in matches from now till 2022.
Osimhen was also part of the shoot with the former Lille hotshot posting a picture of the home and away jersey on his social media pages.
There were a lot of reactions to the post, but the one that caught the eye was Dries Mertens, who asked the Nigerian to bring one for him to training, and the 21-year-old replied no problem.
Osimhen made his competitive debut for Napoli on Sunday following his record-breaking move from Lille. The 21-year-old was introduced in the second half, and he had a hand in Mertens opener as Napoli kicked off their Serie A campaign with a 2-0 win over Parma.
