Maduka Okoye is not the only Nigerian goalkeeper on the move this summer as Francis Uzoho has also left Deportivo La Coruna. The Super Eagles shot-stopper leaves the Spanish side to join Cyprian side, Apoel Nicosia on a three-year deal.
Apoel finished third in the Cyprus top-flight last season, four behind Omonia Nicosia- where Uzoho spent the whole of last season.
Uzoho joined Deportivo from Elche in January 2019 but was loaned out immediately for six months to Anorthosis Famagusta.
After his loan deal expired at the club, Uzoho was again sent out on loan to another Cyprian club, Omonia Nikosia.
He spent the whole of last season at the club although he has been out of action since November last year after suffering a knee injury in Super Eagles draw against Brazil.
The 20-year-old is however back to full fitness and will now link up with his new teammates ahead of the new Cyprus first division season, which starts 21st August.
