French Ligue 1 side, Nantes, have activated the option to buy Super Eagles star, Moses Simon, permanently, and have agreed a four-year deal with the Nigerian.
Simon joined Nantes on loan from Levante last season, but Les Canaries have the permanent buy option, which they have taken.
The former Gent star was named the club’s player of the season after scoring nine goals and providing eight assists in 30 games for the club.
His future had remained unclear for some time with other clubs reportedly interested in his services. Soccernet had reported earlier that the Nigeria international is interested in a move to the English Premier League.
However, it appears that’ll have to wait after Nantes confirmed they’ve signed him permanently from Levante on a four-year deal.
A statement on Nantes website read: FC Nantes has exercised the purchase option from the Spanish Levante Unión Deportiva (La Liga) club for the definitive transfer of Moses Simon (24) to FC Nantes. Loaned this season to the Yellow and Green, the Nigerian international will be linked to the Erdre Banks Club until 2024, from July 1, 2020.
And according to GFFN, the Ligue 1 side will pay Levante a fee in the region of €4m to €5m.
