Impressive Iwobi Lifts Everton To Norwich Win; Moses’ Inter Milan Suffer Hiccup In Title Race

Alex Iwobi delivered an impressive performance to help Everton claim a solid 1-0 victory at Norwich, earning the Toffees their first win since football returned to England after the COVID-19 break.

Following Everton’s goalless draw at the Goodison Park against at the weekend to derail Liverpool’s title charge, the Nigeria international saw action for 75 minutes to help the Toffees to their 11th win of the campaign.

Michael Keane’s fine header off a Lucas Digne cross ten minutes after the break handed Carlo Ancelotti’s men all the three points that push the Blues up to 10th on the league table.

In Italy, Victor Moses earned his second Serie A start and did his bit as Inter Milan settled for a 3-3 draw against Sassuolo at the Giuseppe Meazza.

The hosts fell behind as early as the fourth minute when Francesco Caputo converted for the visitors.

Romelu Lukaku’s 41st-minute penalty and Cristiano Biraghi’s strike deep into injury time turned the tie in Inter’s favour at the break.

Sassuolo equalized with ten minutes left after winning and scoring their own penalty through Domenico Berardi.

Borja Valero then tapped into the Sassuolo net what he thought was the winning goal for Antonio Conte’s men. But Giangiacomo Magnani repeated the trick to earn a share of the points for the dogged visitors.

The draw may have hit Inter Milan’s title hopes a fatal blow, with the Nerazzurri now eight points behind league leaders Juventus.
