Another Super Eagles Star Is A League Champion

After Emmanuel Dennis Club Brugge were crowned the Belgian topflight champions for the 2019/2020 season, another Super Eagles star has also won the league with his club

Peter Olayinka is a league champion for the second season in a row after his Slavia Prague side successfully defended their Czech First League title.

The red and whites won their 19th league title last season, and they have now added their 20th title with three matches still to play.

Prague ensured the title would be staying with them following a 1-0 victory over second-placed and rivals, Viktoria Plzen.

Petr Sevcik’s goal in the 69th minute sealed the victory over Plzen for Jindrich Trpisovsky’s side. Olayinka did not play a part in the match as he is currently out till next season after suffering an injury just before the league resumed from the coronavirus break.

Before his injury, the 24-year-old featured in 19 league games for the champions, scoring four goals, and providing the same number of assists.
