Nigerian players in the Spanish LaLiga will return to full training with their respective clubs on Monday after the Spanish government gave the league authorities the green light to resume with the league.
Leganes duo of Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem are expected to return to training on Monday. At the same time, Oghenekaro Etebo, Ramon Azeez and Samuel Chukwueze will return with Getafe, Granada and Villarreal respectively.
Recall that after the Spanish government eased the lockdown in the country, football clubs were allowed to train in batches while they also underwent compulsory Covid-19 test.
La Liga said the government gave authorization on Saturday for squads to practice together.
However, the Spanish league has declared that beginning from Monday, full team training sessions will resume ahead of the first match to be played following the coronavirus stoppage.
The league, which has been on hold since March 12, will restart on June 11 when Sevilla face Real Betis without fans. The eleven games remaining are due to be played until July 19, according to the government.
