Ex-Liverpool Man Sissoko Wants Juventus To Sign Super Eagles Star

Only three players in all of France scored more goals than Victor Osimhen in Ligue 1 during the 2019-2020 campaign, a feat that convinced Mohamed Sissoko that the Nigerian lad is the real deal

Former Liverpool midfielder Sissoko has charged Italian champions Juventus to make a move for Lille forward Osimhen, predicting that the U-17 World Cup winner would soon become a household name in the game.

In just his maiden campaign in the French top-flight, Osimhen netted 13 goals, a tally bettered only by PSG’s Kylian Mbappe, Monaco’s Wissam Ben Yedder, and Lyon’s Moussa Dembélé.

Two further goals in the UEFA Champions League and another three in the domestic competitions confirmed the 21-year-old’s ratings as one of the most prolific young strikers emerging on the international scene.

Top clubs from the English Premier League, Spain’s La Liga, and Italy Serie A are already on the hunt for the signature of the Super Eagles’ striker.

But Sissoko, who spent three years at Juventus, wants the Old Ladies to be the next destination of Osimhen.

When asked by Tuttojuve’s Mirko Di Natale to name the player he would recommend to Juventus, the former Mali international responded:

“I like Victor Osimhen from Lille very much, for me, this boy is very strong. He is a striker that we will talk about in the next few years.”

Meanwhile, Soccernet.ng earlier reported that Osimhen is not keen on a move to Italy.
