Transfers: Former Barcelona Winger Advises Osimhen On Manchester United Move

The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to Manchester United, Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea following his impressive displays in the Ligue 1 this season.

Former Super Eagles and Barcelona star, Emmanuel Amuneke believes Victor Osimhen has the potential to play for any big club but urged the youngster to weigh his options before making any transfer decision.

Osimhen is attracting interest from Premier League giants like Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Nigeria international has been one of the revelations in the French top division this season. Osimhen joined Lille from Royal Charleroi this season, but he has settled in quickly and has taken Ligue 1 by storm.

The former Golden Eaglets star is a terror to opposition’s defences and a nightmare to goalkeepers. He is currently the fourth-highest goalscorer in the French top-flight this season with 13 goals.

He has scored an additional five goals in other competitions to stand alone as Lille’s top scorer. His performances have seen him being linked with a host of top clubs with Manchester United the latest to enquire about his services.

This has earned him praises from his former coach, Emmanuel Amuneke. The former Golden Eaglets manager says Osihmen can play for the big clubs but wants him to consider carefully before making any decision.

“Victor has been very impressive for Lille. It’s an option that has to be weighed by Victor and his club, but I think it’s a good thing that big clubs are knocking on the door, which shows he has the potential to play in bigger clubs and quality to continue to develop,” Amuneke told the Nation.

“Man United is a very big club and if the opportunity comes for him – there’s nothing wrong for him going there, but he must look at the situation and circumstances because he needs to play,” He added.
