Leicester City defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi could be on the move this summer, but Gabriel Agbonlahor does not see him ending up at the Emirates.
Nigerian-born ex-England international Agbonlahor is impressed with the ability of Wilfred Ndidi and his performances for the Foxes this term.
Ndidi has been one of Leicester City’s most valuable players in a campaign that, at one point, had Brendan Rodgers’ men challenging for the league title.
While their title ambitions have withered since the turn of the year with Liverpool seemingly running away with the top spot, Leicester are favourites to finish in the top four.
The Foxes’ cause has been helped in no small part by Ndidi, who has made 23 appearances and posted incredible numbers of interceptions and tackles.
The defensive midfielder’s displays have elevated him to the heights of the world’s elite players. They have also seen him attract admiring glances from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Arsenal and Barcelona.
But former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor is aware of Arsenal’s struggles in recent times and does not see the Foxes selling Ndidi to the Gunners.
“Yeah, I think the way he’s (Ndidi’s) been playing for Leicester, he’s got the legs in midfield, he can play the ball forward as well, he can win the ball back,” Agbonlahor told Stadium Astro as quoted by TeamTalk.
“But Leicester are doing better than Arsenal at the moment, so they’re not going to sell their players.”
