Super Eagles Star Sends Touching Tribute As Coronavirus Claims Another Soul

Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo has sent a heartfelt message to the family of Seb Lewis after the long-term fan of Charlton Athletic succumbed to the cold hands of death.

The Super Eagles ace took to his social media account to leave an emotional tribute to the 38-year-old superfan who has tragically died of the coronavirus.

Seb contracted the dreaded Covid-19 virus and passed away this week to send the Valley club and their supporters into deep mourning.

While alive, Seb was regarded as one of the club’s most committed supporters having attended every single Charlton match since February 1998, an incredible record of 1076 consecutive fixtures.

The Addicks superfan witnessed Charlton go through multiple ups and downs, from the Premier League to English League One, acknowledged by the London club in a revealing thread on Twitter.

Aribo previously starred for Charlton Athletic, helping them gain promotion to the Championship last season.

The 23-year-old moved to Scotland last summer to team up with Steven Gerrard’s side, but it is clear he still retains a special connection with the Valley club.

“RIP Seb 🙏🏾 thoughts and prayers go out to his family & friends Red heart #CAFC,” the Nigerian international wrote on his Twitter account.

Coronavirus has claimed the lives of thousands of people worldwide since originating from a Wuhan market in China. It has since ground to a halt all football activities in Europe and many parts of the world.
