Super Eagles Star Picks Ronaldo Over Messi, Reveals His Dream XI

The football world is currently on hold due to the coronavirus outbreak, but the Ronaldo vs Messi war rages on with Super Eagles star, Abdullahi Shehu, the latest player to get involved.

The two icons are regarded as the best players of their generation, and that has created a long-standing rivalry between them.

Debates on who is better between the two is one of the most popular subjects not just in football, but the world at large.

They share 11 Ballon d’Ors between them with Messi’s six titles edging out Ronaldo’s five. They also have won a combined nine Champions League titles.

The rivalry between the two has created an eternal argument between fans of both players. Neither fans are willing to agree that their favourite player is second best to the other.

Super Eagles star, Abdullahi Shehu is the latest famous name to engage in the debate with the Bursaspor midfielder choosing Ronaldo over Messi.

In a Q&A with his fans on his Twitter account, the former Kano Pillars star went for Ronaldo when asked to choose between the two football gods.

The 27-year-old also left out Messi of his dream XI, but there’s space for Ronaldo.

Speaking on his preferred position, Shehu who can play as a right-back and midfielder reveals he loves the two roles.
