See How Much Ighalo Will Earn At Manchester United

The former Super Eagles star fulfilled his childhood dream by signing for Manchester United, but it came at a price. Odion Ighalo had to take a massive pay cut for his move to Old Trafford to go through.

The former Watford man joined United from Shanghai Shenhua in a loan deal that will keep him at Old Trafford until the end of the season.

However, the 30-year-old revealed in his interview with United’s official website that he had to take a pay cut although he’s not bothered.

According to the Dailymail, Ighalo was earning £330,000 at Shanghai Shenhua, but United cannot afford to pay that after paying a £4m loan fee to the club.

But Ighalo was determined to achieve his dream of playing for the Red Devils, so he took a massive 50% pay cut for the deal to be completed.

The former Nigeria international will now earn £165,000-a-week throughout his loan deal at Old Trafford. He is set to make his debut on February 17 when United travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea.
