The former Super Eagles star is currently banned from training at Manchester United’s Carrington base due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.
The virus has killed over 1000 people with a majority of the casualties coming from China where the virus broke out.
Ighalo who joined Manchester United till the end of the season from Chinese Super League side, Shanghai Shenhua was also omitted from the Red Devils squad that travelled to Spain for a warm-weather training camp.
The 30-year-old was left out of the squad due to fears he may not be allowed entry on return to the United Kingdom.
The former Watford man is currently training alone at Manchester, but not at United’s training ground in Carrington.
According to the Mirror, Ighalo is banned from United’s training base as Man Utd are taking a precaution over the outbreak of the deadly virus.
Although Ighalo did not arrive from Wuhan where the virus originated, United are still taking precaution as they believe it is the right thing to do.
With the decision, the former Nigeria international has been training at a Taekwondo centre in Manchester alongside a fitness coach, Wayne Richardson.
Nevertheless, Ighalo is expected to link up with his new teammates when United return from their warm-weather training camp on Friday.
