Europa League: Good News For Man Utd But Bad News For Super Eagles Star

He has already played at the Santiago Bernabeu this season, scoring twice against Real Madrid, but Emmanuel Dennis would not get the chance to feature in another iconic stadium after he was ruled out of Club Brugge’s Europa League encounter against Manchester United.

The Red Devils have been handed a massive boost after it was confirmed that their nemesis in the first leg would miss the second leg at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

The Super Eagles star scored Club Brugge’s goal in the first leg of the last 32 Europa League clash against Solskjaer’s men last week.

While he would have been relishing the chance to play at Old Trafford, he would have to wait after he picked up an injury in Club Brugge’s match against Royal Charleroi on Sunday.

He would miss the clash alongside the club’s captain, Eder Balanta, who misses out through suspension. With the tie finely poised after both sides played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg, Dennis absence would be a big miss for Blauw-Zwart.

The 22-year-old has scored nine times and provided two assists in 33 appearances for Club Brugge this campaign.
