The Arsenal youngster can rise to the top of the world in his preferred position, says head of Arsenal youth development, Marcel Lucassen.
The experienced Dutch coach believes that English-born Nigerian starlet Bukayo Saka can become one of the best wing-backs in the world under the guidance of Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta.
The highly-rated academy graduate burst onto the scene at the Emirates Stadium when Unai Emery was in charge, making a senior bow during the 2018-19 campaign.
More potentials have been unlocked this term, with the versatile 18-year-old excelling when played either as a winger, wing-back, or full-back.
The youngster has been spectacular in the Europa League, where he has scored two goals and supplied four assists in just four appearances this season.
A former German youth coach expects Saka to continue his development, which may likely see him become one of the world’s best.
In quotes carried by The Mirror referring to Voetbal International, Lucassen said:
“Bukayo Saka is the best example of what we want at Arsenal.
“He has the potential to become one of the best three wing-backs in the world, and I really think Arteta can help in that process.
“Arteta, with his vision, is not far from what we want in the academy.
“Talents like Saka, Reiss Nelson, Eddie Nketiah, Emile Smith-Rowe, and Joe Willock should benefit from that.”
One of the brightest young talents produced by the Arsenal academy in recent years, Saka has taken in 23 appearances across all competitions this term and fully established himself as part of the first-team fold.
