Spanish Publication, Marca, earlier in the week raised the alarm that Zinedine Zidane’s side are looking to sign three Les Dogues players including star striker Victor Osimhen, but the French club’s gaffer Christophe Galtier has brushed it off as mere locker room gist.
Marca believe that Real Madrid have their mind set on signing one or all of Lille’s incredible trio of Boubakary Soumare, Victor Osimhen and Gabriel dos Santos Magalhaes. The report appeared as a major headline on the front page of the Spanish Publication.
But Lille manager Galtier is not worried by such reports on his key players. When asked about the likely interest of Real Madrid for his Nigerian import, Galtier expressed confidence it is nothing more than media talk.
According to quotes carried by Afrique Sports, Galtier also revealed that Osimhen will still be a Lille player after the January transfer window is slammed shut.
“The front page of Marca? I don’t know if they talked about it in the locker room. I have received no comments on this subject, Galtier said.
“On a personal level, I focused on the competition. The transfer window will end on January 31 (2020). I will see what will happen. It does not bother me. I don’t feel pride either.
“The media can be the news. I did not discuss it with my president or with Luis Campos. It doesn’t interest me, he added.
Osimhen’s profile has skyrocketed since joining Lille in the summer from Royal Charleroi. The Super Eagles forward has already scored 13 goals in all competitions for the French side with half the season left to play.
