The Blues qualified from Group H as runners up after beating Lille 2-1 on Tuesday at Stamford Bridge. Goals from Tammy Abraham and Cesar Azpilicueta ensured Lampard’s men qualified alongside Valencia who finished as group winners.
While they have secured their place in the knockout stages, Lampard’s men face a difficult draw which holds on December 16. The Blues could face one of Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munich, Juventus or Leipzig who all finished as group winners.
However, despite the challenge facing Chelsea, Tammy Abraham insists they are ready to face any team. When asked who he will like to face in the round of 16, the former Aston Villa striker said Barcelona, but they don’t fear any team.
“We want to play against the best teams in the world and play in the best stadiums in the world. “No fear. We’re ready for anyone. I would love it if it is playing at the Nou Camp or somewhere I’ve never played before, Abraham told Goal.
However, Abraham says he is not looking too far ahead as there are other commitments before the knockout stages kick off in February. The England international said it is time for Chelsea to focus on the Premier League.
The Blues are currently in the fourth position with 29 points from 16 games.
