Transfers: Super Lig Champions Prepare €20m Bid For Troubled Super Eagles Forward

With the January transfer window only a few weeks away, top clubs have started taking steps towards securing their transfer targets with Turkish champions Galatasaray ready to land Nigeria’s Henry Onyekuru.

Monaco forward Henry Onyekuru is set to quit the Principality club after enduring a difficult first five months with the former French champions.

The Super Eagles attacker is believed to have already rejected offers from Russia as he prefers a move back to Galatasaray where he spent the 2018/19 season on loan, helping the Lions to the Super Lig title.

Onyekuru only moved to Monaco from Everton in the summer for a fee around £12m but has found first team opportunities hard to come by with the Nigeria international often not making the match day squad in recent weeks.

And, according to a Foot 365 report, Turkish side Galatasaray are willing to rescue the 24-year-old from his misery with coach Fatih Terim’s side having been in negotiations all week with AS Monaco for the January arrival of Nigerian attacker Henry Onyekuru.

Monaco and Galatasaray are thrashing the details of a loan deal for Onyekuru with an option of making the switch permanent for £20m.

Henry Onyekuru was a member of the Super Eagles squad that finished third at the 2019 AFCON championship in Egypt but has not featured for coach Gernot Rohr’s team since.
