Premier League Giants Set To Battle For The Services Of Super Eagles Golden Boy

He only arrived last summer but Victor Osimhen could be on the move after it was reported three Premier League clubs are monitoring him ahead of the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old has taken Ligue 1 by storm since he joined Lille from Royal Charleroi in the summer. The Super Eagles star has scored 12 goals in all competitions for Lille including nine in the French topflight.

His performances have caught the eye of Premier League clubs, and are considering making an offer for the Nigerian international in January.

According to Skysports, the trio of Liverpool, Chelsea, and Spurs are all battling for the services of Osimhen. Chelsea are planning to reinforce their squad in January after their transfer ban was lifted, and have identified Osimhen as one of the players that improve their squad.

The 20-year-old scored against the Blues in the Champions League this campaign and could be a perfect partner for Tammy Abraham.

Spurs could have the edge in the race to sign the Nigerian star. The Lilywhites new assistant manager, Joao Sacramento was formerly at Lille.

Nevertheless, Lille expects Osimhen to stay at the club in January unless they receive an offer they can’t refuse. Les Dogues are currently third in the Ligue 1 with 31 points from eighteen games.
