Iwobi’s Arsenal Reunion Ends In Disappointment

He was the cover of matchday programme, but Alex Iwobi’s reunion against former side Arsenal ended after just 11 minutes.

The 23-year-old is facing his former club for the first time since he left on deadline day last summer. However, his afternoon came to an early end after he picked up an injury in the 11th minute of the encounter.

In what looked like a hamstring injury, Iwobi was taken off with Turkey international, Cenk Tosun coming on to replace him.

It must have been disappointing for Iwobi to come off as he would be relishing the opportunity to perform against his former team.

Meanwhile, neither team was able to find the breakthrough as the match ended in a boring 0-0 draw.
