Iwobi Reveals His Best Pal In The Super Eagles

Everton midfielder, Alex Iwobi has revealed that Ola Aina is his closest friend in the Super Eagles squad. Like Iwobi, Aina also grew up in London and was part of Chelsea’s youth set up before moving to Torino.

Iwobi, who has become an integral part of the senior national team told the Super Eagles Media Team via Youtube of his closeness with Aina.

He revealed that growing up with the former Chelsea defender has created a very strong bond with him.

”In camp, it would probably be Ola Aina, growing up with him, we went to the same school, lived on the same road. Even till now we are still good friends.”

Both Iwobi and Aina played a key role in Nigeria’s AFCON 2021 qualifying wins over the Squirrels of Benin and Crocodiles of Lesotho. Iwobi has 40 appearances for Nigeria, scoring seven goals, while Ola Aina has 15 caps to his name, and has scored three goals.
