They have failed to win any of their last five matches in all competitions, but that changed on Saturday night as Victor Osimhen’s penalty was enough for Lille to beat Dijon in the French Ligue 1.
Les Douges lost their last two matches against Ajax and PSG, but Oshimhen’s goal ensured Christopher Galtier’s side returned to winning ways.
The 20-year-old who missed last weekend’s loss to PSG due to suspension scored from the penalty spot after he was fouled in the box.
It was Osimhen’s eighth goal in the French topflight this season and 10th in all competitions. With the win, Lille moved up to seventh place with 22 points from 15 games.
Next up for Christopher Galtier’s side is a clash against Lyon on Tuesday evening.
