With his contract expiring in six months, there are confusions as to whether Gernot Rohr will still be Nigeria’s manager when the 2021 AFCON qualifiers resume next year.
The Super Eagles have started the qualifiers for the 2021 AFCON on a positive note, beating Benin Republic and Lesotho in their first two games in Group L.
However, with the qualifiers not set to resume again until June, the future of Gernot Rohr is unclear. However, the German tactician is not worried, saying that matter is in NFF hands. The former Burkina Faso manager said this after Nigeria defeated Lesotho on Sunday.
“Again I’m confused because I am not here to speak about my contract, Rohr said.”
“We have a good team and I enjoy to coach this team of course, and we have project also, we have young players, we are progressing and we started very well in this competition and competition will continue after the end of my contract, so the ball is in the camp of the officials now, Rohr added.
